As I sit in my Composition 1 class, I am really proud of the interesting things my students have learned about themselves by doing their I-Search/research projects. This project required them to look inward as they discovered themselves through Howard Gardner's Multiple Intelligence Theory. It was so cool to watch my students come to understand themselves better as learners--and even as to how they came about choosing the career paths they have decided to take.
My hope is that you all will continue to think about these things as you continue in life because employers really have begun to look at these things when making hiring decisions. I promise you will see some of those fun tests, again, we took in class!
I look forward to reading your final drafts of these I-Search papers--AND your final self-reflection essays!

I nearly had a conniption twice during this essay. Jk, I actually enjoyed writing this essay once I put my mind to it. I thought that I had to do extensive research till I was left with nubs for fingers, but I ended this experience learning more about the topic and understanding why my mind works the way it does. So thanks Ms. Dye for the awesome idea to learn about ourselves :D
ReplyDeleteThank you for helping me learn how to express myself in words more then I ever could Imagine!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI had this class last term. The I-search assignment was by far my favorite assignment of the course! I really learned a lot about myself and about the Multiple Intelligences Theory. I hope the students were able to learn the best way that they learn to help them further in their education.
ReplyDeleteP.S.
The assignment where the class had to make a story from just pictures was a fun one too!

This sounds like it would neat to do. I feel that once you discover yourself it is easier for you to take on anything.
